Inhume's Chaos Dissection Order is one of my favorite releases of 2007. The album's riffs never get old. I've probably listened to this about 50 or 60 times. If you liked this band before, prepare for surgical incisions in your goddamned abdomen. Bang chicks to it.

World Extermination is one of the best grind albums from any band in any area. This band (as well as Dallas contemps, Kill The Client) have proven that the true epicenter of grindcore in the USA is TEXAS. Loud screachy vocals give the music the hate-filled atmosphere, to which I am sure, it spawned. This band is the ontogeny of hatred. Someone pissed these dudes off at SOME point in their lives.

Great death/grind record; possibly the best release from the guys.

Angry grindcore from Dallas' Kill The Client. Think Napalm Death, but angrier.

Funeral shredders Worship have released a new album entitled Dooom. I've only listened to it twice, but the tracks are solid. Some of the stuff even reminds me of Khanate or Teeth of Lions Rule the Divine. The first, third, and fourth tracks are absolutely on point with what good doom should be. I got this from another blog because the file was too large for mediafire. The password is www.mediaportal.ru

Asunder arose from the ruins of sludge/crusters Dystopia and Skaven. If you could imagine a blend of the melodious Swedish death metal and doom metal genres, this is what you've got. Slow, loud, and melodic. The first track Twilight Amaranthine begins with the main phrase performed through the texture of a cello; it eventually builds up into an epic 13 minute-long track. Definitely one of the best bands of their genre. Creative, yet humble intervals. \m/

Béla Bartók's 6th string quartet is a massive flow of all things melody. I think that it's the last piece he wrote in Hungary. Each movement opens with a slow melody marked mestomesto, or sadly. In the fourth movement, the material, with reminiscences of the first movement material, takes up the entire movement. His mother's death influenced the final movement, which I could understand. It resembles a tone poem, if you ask me.

Aesop Rock is an American hip-hop musician from New York City. I've pretty much grown up with his music, although I am not a big fan of the new stuff he's got going on. Brilliant lyricist and composer. If you've never come across Float or Appleseed...I wish my girlfriend's friends would stop listening to scene rap, and more complex shit. I don't know if I could take another Atmosphere hook..but Slug's cool.

Battlemaster is a technical melo-death band with a hint of black. Just a hint. haha I like the riffage a lot.

Arcane Necrosis is a raw, atmospheric black metal band from Australia; or so I believe. The lyrical content is mostly anti-Christian. This is one of the better black bands that I have heard lately. It's pretty good stuff. If you like old Gorgoroth, this is probably your thing.

Another album of 2007, Death Breath's Let It Stink. Fans of Entombed, Morbid Angel, Motorhead, maybe Doomriders, or Hellbastard should enjoy this putrid onslaught of Death...Breath. The sound on this recording is a little different than their previous record, Stinking Up The Night; however, I will point out that this album is just as good an effort as any.

This is the best Brutal Death Metal album that I have heard in at least two years. Cryptic Implosion is Odious Mortem's Cali-death sophmore masterpiece. Guitarist Ron Jarzombek put down a lead track on the last song; entitled "Collapse Of Recreation". Good for jamming, bonging, bonging + jamming, running, football games, etc...

" Cøma is an attempt to bring about social awareness through volume and power.

Today's society could be said to live in a comatose state. Moving day to day in the same mannerisms, routines, and philsophies. In turn the political climate in the U.S. has worsened. The needs of the people have been forgotten for monetary gains and control of the world economy. The lies and corruption are just an extention of such greed and over-stretching of political power. But like all those who have dared to control the masses that have fallen into the lull of apathy, these men and women will fall to those they now oppress."

Cøma is/was a doom metal outfit from Dallas, which featured members of former (and current) Dallas bands such as: Terms of Grey, Kill The Client, Cleric, and I believe a band named Serious Youth? What matters is that these guys set out to bust your mom's mandible. Great for people who dig Entombed, Grief, YOB, Boris, Sleep, Carcass, and Cursed. "Death by power".

"Sun Dial (occasionally spelled Sundial) is a British space rock band formed in 1990 by Gary Ramon."

I don't know much about this band, but the song craft is creative. I think it's better than Syd's songs with Floyd in the 60's. I think the first time that I listened to it, I was tripping mushrooms in the woods with my buddy. haha Hippie shit. Great for smoking, so catch this fire.

Skeletonwitch is a great band for anybody a fan of NWOBHM, Black Metal, Melodic Death, or Thrash. Old Celtic Frost meets Venom and Sodom on a depressant. My favorite track is probably Sacrifice to the Slaughter Gods. Pretty swell album art it has.

Best Zappa album. His first of the 1970's. I am not going to elaborate on what kind of musical wiz this dude was. If you appreciate really awesome melody, get it.

In the spirit of the Spanish translation of two, I have come to the conclusion that I would post cLOUDEAD self-titled collection of songs -- that I believe, were originally recorded on separate 7-inch's. cLOUDEAD is basically one of the many Dose One projects; considerably, his more subtle approach toward the avant-garde style. Perfect for a blunt in a car with your girlfriend...or a mere female acquaintance..perhaps two? Subtle happens to be another Dose One project; that post will come later.

I'm a huge doom metal advocate, and in support of local music, I shall post the demo from Dallas based Blood Ov... If you have ever indulged in really depressive, loud, epic doom metal...this is your thing. Think Asunder, Thorr's Hammer, and Buried At Sea's Migration..and Graves At Sea. Enjoy.

Not much else could be said about this band, Satanic Warmaster. Just angry, raw, and black.

A blog I read just had a Phobia post. Here's the link. http://www.divshare.com/download/1448155-fd3
If you've never heard Phobia, and don't like Crusty Grindcore, eat a whale's rectum.

greetings, you fucks.

Origin - A Coming Into Existence

Origin is a Technical Brutal Death band. They are one of my personal favorites, although I dig the self-titled a little more; this is probably what many general death metal fans would enjoy. Really solid, quick riffing. Strongly Recommended. 8 out of 10 on my metaphorical scale.

Masayuki Takayangi - Eclipse (1975)

This is a really interesting record that I found on another blog, actually. It blends some Jap folkish stuff, with a lot of free form, somewhat atonal element. Noise is also in abundance on the last track. This shit is fucking intense.

Electric Wizard - Witchcult Today (2007)

Electric Wizard is a doom metal band that could actually create a sound wall of evil (only equaled by the self-titled Black Sabbath record). The songs on the new album definitely display the indulgences of drug abuse, and vintage equipment. The album opens up with the title track "Witchcult Today", and ends on the eleven minute epic "Saturnine". Witchcult Today isn't really what I typically expected from Electric Wizard; however, I mean that in the best possible way. My expectations were not only exceeded, but these recordings are a testament to the true guitar sound of the late 1960's cult psych doom. Strongly recommended for anyone with a bong in hand and an obsession with horror flicks. I give a near perfect 9 out of 10. It's great. Blah...Blah...
